Specialist Advice and Support
At Bluefield, we provide specialised technical and commercial advice and support to clients. Our services range from short-term technical engagements up to longer-term site-based maintenance and project management roles.
Many clients find themselves in need of short or medium-term coverage due to leave, restructures or transitions between incumbents. To ensure that operations continue smoothly, Bluefield can provide experienced maintenance, planning and reliability superintendents and managers to fill these roles. We can also supply maintenance and reliability engineers for both role coverage and to lead specific improvement projects. If you require statutory role coverage, we can help with that too – covering roles like statutory mechanical engineers and electrical engineering managers (EEM’s).
When we provide role coverage, we don’t just send someone to sit in a seat. We invite you to draw on the collective knowledge and experience that our extended network of specialists has to offer. Our in-house toolkits and methodologies can also help you solve problems and improve your business. And at all times, our chief concern is for these assignments to add long-term, sustainable value to your business – not just keep things ‘ticking over.’
At Bluefield, we also undertake a variety of engineering assessments, studies and reviews, and provide technical advice on asset design, configuration and modifications. One of our core areas of technical expertise is providing specialist advice on above- and below-track rail maintenance improvements, alongside other transport assets.
Another area of speciality for Bluefield is maintenance contract review and development. We can assist clients to develop contracts to outsource their maintenance work, review or transition their contractors, or bring their maintenance in-house. Many of Bluefield’s specialists have experience managing maintenance contracts and understand the commercial challenges faced by sites in controlling their costs and their asset performance. We can also assist in identifying and controlling transition risks to keep assets performing without interruption.
One final area of focus for Bluefield is implementing and improving Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). We can advise you on how to implement or migrate to a new CMMS and assist with set up, or rectify your master data to support the optimum use of your CMMS. Our specialists have backgrounds in planning and system administration, and can advise on the pitfalls associated with getting your master data right, and the benefits that it offers your business.
