    Maintenance Execution Improvements

    One of the key practice areas within any business and its asset management processes is maintenance execution - ensuring quality work and outcomes across every facet of the maintenance program. No matter how big your team of tradespeople is, your success depends upon a commitment to quality from every one of those team members. And it’s much more complicated than simply running an evaluation and identifying the actions that need to be taken.

    The Bluefield evaluation process begins with identifying in detail, exactly what’s happening at a site and why breakdowns are occurring. It gives us an understanding of where maintenance execution is failing and we gather evidence of all issues. This content is then presented to your team - and not just management - we involve everyone onsite including supervisors and tradespeople. We focus on the entire situation, the negatives and the positives, without finger-pointing, to present a holistic picture.

    Unfortunately, a few problems can reduce the effectiveness of the whole operation. Often these problems stem from cultural issues in the business so we spend time working on staff engagement and introducing incremental changes to continuously improve. And it begins with a focus on quality and a culture of care, introduced and reinforced at the beginning of every day in the morning meeting. Experience tells us your team love what they do, they care about their equipment and they want to be a part of a successful team. It just takes a little focus on how they go about their jobs as a team to make all the difference.
