Our client, a coal miner, was experiencing many breakdowns and equipment fires on their mobile fleet.
Bluefield utilised our maintenance evaluation process to review the intended standards against which the equipment should be maintained.
We then identified where maintenance was not executed to the required standards and quality.
After compiling our findings, we played them back to the team, who identified their priorities and assigned responsibilities to improve their maintenance standards.
We also worked with the client to build a culture of mutual accountability to maintain these standards.
The maintenance teams corrected the identified problems, resulting in greatly improved safety and performance outcomes.
Bluefield was engaged for ongoing equipment reliability and cost improvement as well as long term planning.
