Bluefield AMS is pleased to announce our strategic partnership with Kepner-Tregoe, providing project management workshops with a focus on project management in the mining industry.
Kepner-Tregoe is the industry leaders in training programs and consultancy services that are designed to equip individuals with essential skills for their careers.
Bluefield’s desire to partner with Kepner-Tregoe was inspired by several of Bluefield’s senior management having previously completed the Project Management Workshop. The need arose for a number of the younger engineers within the Bluefield ranks to be upskilled in practical project management, which led to the opportunity to develop Bluefield staff members as certified trainers of the Kepner-Tregoe Project Management Workshops.
“Kepner-Tregoe has provided us with the underlying methodology on how to teach mining industry professionals the KT Project Management Framework, and this coupled with our extensive mining industry experience and practical Project Management knowledge in a mining environment provides a level of relevance that is second to none.” Drew Hislop, General Manager at Bluefield AMS.
Several Bluefield staff members, including Drew Hislop, have undertaken Kepner-Tregoe Program Leader courses and are now certified to teach the Project Management workshop.
Bluefield has also made the internal commitment of training 20 of their own Asset Management Specialists over 2 separate workshops; one held in Brisbane, and the other in Newcastle. The consensus was that it was extremely beneficial and inspiring to learn from people who have been managing large scale projects for the mining industry for many years.
“Our aim is that the Bluefield-Kepner-Tregoe Project Management Workshop will now be undertaken by external clients,” Drew said.
“Our workshop will ensure that mining professionals are equipped with a practical project management understanding that they can implement throughout their career.”
